Idlewild Picnics
Odd Fellows And U. P. Reunion Last Week
The annual outing of the Odd Fellows association of Western Pennsylvania was held at Idlewild last week. It was one of the largest gatherings held at Idlewild this season. The day was cool and pleasant. It is estimated that about 9,000 people were present. There were 92 coaches required by the P.R.R. to carry the passengers.
The annual United Presbyterian reunion picnic was held on Thursday. This is always a large gathering and last week was no exception. Several crowded excursion trains from Pittsburgh, Indiana and other places brought the crowds of merry picnic people who enjoyed the day at Idlewild to the fullest. Large crowds who were well behaved and orderly were up to Ligonier both days.
