In another column is a copy of the original notice of George Senft, our gentlemanly superintendent of the Ligonier Valley Railroad, concerning the discontinuance of the customary whistle fifteen minutes before the departure of trains. "Why is this?" has been uttered by a great many in our hearing. Now, it might be a matter of some convenience to those going on the train from Ligonier to have a whistle fifteen minutes before departure, at heretofore, but there is a good reason for discontinuing the same or it would not have been done. Superintendent Senft is a man who never does a thing without a good reason.
