A Coalpit correspondent says: The fire clay works will enlarge and manufacture fire brick in the near future, having discovered good flint clay on their land. They will try the sand business again, they are not discouraged because they failed last summer. The reason they failed was not because the sand was not good, as the sand is of the best quality. They found a big ledge of good sand rock on the L.V.R.R. and have leased 400 acres of land.
