P.R.R. Changes Contemplated
The Building Occupied by Mr. L. A. Hoke to be Removed

Mr. George N. Beckwith, owner of the building now occupied by L. A. Hoke, on the corner of Ligonier and Depot streets, has been given peremptory notice by the P.R.R. people to move the same, as they intend making extensive improvements.

What their improvements are no one can learn, although the matter was vigorously investigated by the Advance representative. Numerous stories are in circulation in regard to the disposition of this ground, but the majority of them are absurd and not worth repeating. One is to the effect that a large brick station will be erected there, the Ligonier Valley Railroad track brought down Depot street and the freight station removed, and, although the Ligonier Valley people have been surveying on this street and also on Main street, there is no reason to believe this story to be any more probably that any of the others.

Mr. L. A. Hoke, who now occupies the building, will remove on or about the 10th of April to the fine storeroom in the Opera House block, now occupied by J. J. Fulton, who will vacate it on the 1st of April. The room will be handsomely fitted up and Mr. Hoke will carry a larger and finer stock of groceries and house furnishing goods than ever before, and in the meantime will. . . . Unreadable.
