L. V. R. R. Holiday Excursions
Commencing Dec 23d, the Ligonier Valley Railroad will sell holiday excursion tickets good until Jan 2d. 1888 all points on the line. The excursion rate from Latrobe to Ligonier and turn is only sixty cents. A trip over this road is well worth the money, if for nothing else than to catch a glimpse of the magnificent scenery which, if beautiful in summer, is doubly in winter. The snow crowned rocks and trees, the latter often bent and twisted into a thousand odd and beautiful shapes, can only be seen by a trip through the mountain where its white mantle is unruffled by the foot of man.
