Fire At The Clay Works

During Saturday night a fire occurred at the fire clay works near Idlewild, a short distance from the Ligonier Valley Railroad. The engine house containing the dinkey engine, "Duke of Idlewild," was burned. The dinkey was in the house at the time and had the cab burned off. Whether the fire was of incendiary origin or was cause by the spontaneous combustion of greasy waste it is hard to tell. Besides the loss of the cab the engine did not suffer any material damage.
