Latrobe Advance
Wednesday, August 31, 1881

The new passenger coach for the Ligonier Valley Railroad which was built by S. H. & R. Baker, of Latrobe, has been finished and was placed on the road on Monday last. It is very neat and handsome and it names "Laurel Hill." It is built after the style of their first coach which was made to order in Wilmington, Del., only this one has perforated instead of upholstered seats. The rolling stock of this road is better than that of any other narrow gauge road in the country and more improvements are being added constantly. It is expected that the road will be extended as far as Jones' Mills, in a very short time. Besides being elegantly equipped, it is one of the best managed roads in the country.
