Both of the Ligonier passenger coaches are at the car shops undergoing repair. A box car fitted with seats and the observation, or open car, are now being run regularly.
Runaway Cars
On Thursday last, while one of the trainmen on the Ligonier Valley Railroad was letting three P.R.R. cars down the grade to the transfer, the brake chains broke and he lost control of them. At every revolution of the wheels they gained speed and had gotten under terrible headway when they were suddenly brought to a stand still by running into several other cars that were standing on the track. Beyond wrecking and breaking several of the cars no other damage wad done.
