A Paying Road
The Johnstown Tribune says: The Ligonier Valley narrow gauge railroad promised to be a paying institution, as Hon. Thomas A. Mellon, the General Superintendent, reported at a recent meeting of managers that the total cost of grading, building, and equipping the road was only $49,460.60, and that the earning for the first thirty-six days that it was in operation, which runs up to January 1st, amounted to $776.20. Following is a list of officers elected for the ensuing year, as the information may prove of interest to some of our readers: President, S. H. Baker; Directors, R. M. Graham, Dr. W. D. McCown, N. M.
